Jesse Lee United Methodist Church

On July 1, Jesse Lee welcomed Fern Blair Hart as the new Pastor to continue our mission and ministry. Pastor Fern is a lifelong Methodist and found her calling to ministry after a 36 year career as an elementary school teacher in Bethel where she resides and a secretary/dispatcher for the City of Danbury Public Works Department.  During Pastor Fern’s “retirement” she became a certified Lay Minister in 2013, and then went on to attend Local Pastor’s Licensing school, completing her course of studies in 2015. Jesse Lee will be Pastor Fern’s second appointment, having previously served as Pastor for Canaan UMC, in Canaan, CT and filling in for many Pastors in the Connecticut District. Over its long history, Pastor Fern will be only the second woman to lead Jesse Lee as its spiritual leader! We are blessed to have Pastor Fern as our leader and look forward to working with her as we continue to navigate these challenging times.
